Cary Brown and O.M.S. (Organic Music Synthesis) is a funky jazz and rock infused jam band that features all the dynamic improvised groove qualities of the best jam bands combined with the musical versatility and precision of three seasoned veterans of the NYC area jazz scene. Cary Brown, multi-keyboardist/producer/composer toured internationally throughout the 90s with Jamaican ska pioneers The Skatalites and the NYC based group The New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble. He has also performed and/or recorded with jazz legend John Scofield, Sloan Wainwright, and Rufus Wainwright and has performed at many of the best jazz venues in the NY area including Small’s, The 55 Bar, The Iridium, The Cutting Room, Rockwood Music Hall, and BB King’s.
