Chuck Leavell and Trouble No More at NYC & Boston
Chuck Leavell will be joining Allman Brother's Tribute Band, 'Trouble No More', to honor the 50th Anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band's Brother's & Sisters album. The album was released in 1973 under the Capricorn Records label with over seven million copies sold worldwide and “Ramblin’ Man” landed the ABB their first and only hit single. The album features Chuck's famous piano solo on the song "Jessica" which galvanized his standing as one of rock's greatest keyboard players and made him an instant member of rock royalty. Chuck is equally proud of his solo on the song "Jelly Jelly". “Jessica” Piano Solo – The Student and the Teacher
Chuck Leavell was the featured 'Rock Star' at Rock Camp in NYC on Nov 18. To everyone's shock and amazement, this might have been the only time in Chuck's musical career where he was on stage sitting behind the keyboards and he didn't play the iconic "Jessica" solo that he is so famously, and reverentially, known for. When the opening for the solo came around 15 year old Dylan James Shaw stepped up to the keys and Chuck graciously sat back and let Dylan James run with it. Dylan James performed an impressive rendition of one of rock's most famous solos. Dylan James started playing piano when he was 3 years old. In an era of pop, rap , and hip hop Dylan has instead embraced the blues. In 2021 he was selected by the Chicago Blues foundation to be the Blues Kid Of The Year. Dylan has been …

What do the bands Parliament Funkadelic and Lynyrd Skynyrd have in common?
These two bands couldn’t be farther apart musically. P-Funk, famously known for being a musical hybrid of funk and psychedelic rock, and Lynyrd Skynyrd is the quintessential Southern rock band. Both bands, though, have a heritage of embracing rock’s top keyboard players. P-Funk’s founding keyboardist Bernie Worrell, was a prodigy and keyboard pioneer, pushing the boundaries of digital and synthesized sound. Billy Powell, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s roadie turned keyboardist, laid down some of rocks most recognizable piano leads with “Call Me the Breeze”, “Freebird”, and “Tuesdays Gone”. Crazy as it may seem, both bands have keyboard player Peter Keys in common. In 1996 Peter replaced Bernie Worrell in the P-Funk lineup. In 2009 he was selected to be Billy Powell's replacement in the Lynyrd …
