Cary Brown and O.M.S. (Organic Music Synthesis) is a funky jazz and rock infused jam band that features all the dynamic improvised groove qualities of the best jam bands combined with the musical versatility and precision of three seasoned veterans of the NYC area jazz scene. Cary Brown, multi-keyboardist/producer/composer toured internationally throughout the 90s with Jamaican ska pioneers The Skatalites and the NYC based group The New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble. He has also performed and/or recorded with jazz legend John Scofield, Sloan Wainwright, and Rufus Wainwright and has performed at many of the best jazz venues in the NY area including Small’s, The 55 Bar, The Iridium, The Cutting Room, Rockwood Music Hall, and BB King’s. Chuck Leavell Leading Tribute to Butch Trucks and Gregg Allman at Peach Festival
This year's Peach Festival will honor the musical legacies of the late Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks with a special tribute set led by Chuck Leavell serving as musical director. Leavell will bring together former Allman Brothers Band members and close Allman/Trucks associates like Jaimoe, Oteil Burbridge, Marc Quinones, Duane Trucks, Devon Allman, Jack Pearson, Marcus King, Bruce Katz, Lamar Williams Jr., Pat Bergeson, Allman’s former musical director Scott Sharrard, Pete Levin, Berry Oakley Jr., Vaylor Trucks and many more.
